Open Garden and Coffee Morning at Hursey

On Tuesday 9th July I went to Aileen and David Bishop’s ‘Open Garden and Coffee Morning’ held in their garden, to raise funds for St Johns Church in Broadwindsor – the photo shows Ruth and I enjoying the shade – well you can see our legs – mine are still white, not had time to sit out in the sun yet.
It was a privilege to walk around their magnificent garden, grass paths meandering around flower beds, through wooded areas and down to the pond – a more idillic place to be would be hard to find.
There were plants, cakes and Margaret’s Pasties to buy, a raffle – I was told later they raised over £1000.
